Family Holidays

We are delighted to welcome all the family to our place in the sun.  Our aim is to provide a personal service and tailor made package to suit your family requirements, therefore helping to ensure that all our guests have a relaxing holiday from the minute of arrival.

Special Day Excursions can be arranged for you.  Perhaps a trip to Gibraltar, some Deep Sea Fishing, a day at the Racecourse or an excursion into the foothills to visit traditional Spanish Villages like the beautiful “Mijas”.  Before booking any activity, from Paragliding to Flamenco nights out speak to us, we have lots of personal experience of holidaying on the Costa del Sol as a family.  We can organise local day trips to markets, Aqua parks, local markets, zoos and a host of other fun activities.

Toys and games are hidden away for little hands to play with if required.  There are many extras available should you require them, please check when making your booking and we shall endeavour to accommodate.

The pool and BBQ terraces are available all of the time, for fun in the sun (or shade for those younger guests!)

When holidaying with young children, I can't think of a better place to go than this area of the Costa del Sol.  There are so many different places to see and visit, which I personally would recommend having been to them all - several times!  With the beaches being so clean and close, you may well find your children want for nothing more.  Spain in general is such a child friendly place, ALL restaurants welcome children and do their very best to accommodate you.  They are very family orientated people and children are fussed over at every opportunity.

We do our very best to make the children staying with us comfortable and settled, if child is happy, Mum is happy!  'Special' bed covers etc. are used for the little guests, with books and toys set out ready to keep little fingers busy while parents get unpacking.  The apartment has a TV video and you are more than welcome to borrow as many videos as you like, just to help with those lie-ins! (Please see our 'services' page to see the children's equipment you may use during your stay, free of charge)

A few of the day trips I would recommend in this area are, Fuengirola zoo, Selwo Marina at Paloma Park, the park itself, the Sea Life Centre at Benalmadena Marina, Tivoli World and for the older children, Selwo Adventure Park toward Marbella is a fantastic day out.

Fuengirola Zoo
When we first arrived it was renowned for not being a very good zoo in regards the animal enclosures and so forth, but it has had a complete makeover and is now a wonderful place to visit and see many animals in spacious, clean idyllic conditions.  The zoo is not huge, it is a half day rather than a full day, but is very well laid out and they have a cafe/restaurant and a show to watch with the star being a porcupine called Percy!  It is easy to navigate your way around, and buggies are not a problem.  In the height of summer, they do special 'twilight hours' so visitors can see the nocturnal animals in the cool of the evening.

Open daily 10am-7pm.  Entrance:  Child (3-9 yrs)  8:60 euro,  Adults 12:30 euro

Selwo Marina
This again is a half rather than a full day, maybe take a walk around Paloma Park at the same time.  They have regular Dolphin and Sea lion shows throughout the day, both of which are done in English and Spanish. (I doubt you've ever seen a Sea lion dancing Flamenco before!)  There is an igloo full of comical Penguins to watch, touch pools, a 3d show, and adventure playground and of course cafes and souvenir shop.

Open 10am til dusk.  Entrance:  (Free under 2's)  3-7 yrs  9:90euro, Adults 13:90 euro

Sea Life Centre
This has all the attractions of every sealife centre and is situated in the beautiful Benalmadena Marina.  It has a pool where you can feed the stingrays, a touch pool where you can stroke an underwater cucumber, and of course the glass tunnel to walk through while the sharks glide above you.

Mon-Fri:  10am til 6pm.   Sat/Sun:  10am till 8pm

Tivoli World
Tivoli World is on the edge of Arroyo De La Miel, where the cable cars come down from Mount Calmorro.  It is an attraction park, laid out with the rides according to age suitability.  It is on quite a steep hill, but there is a lot to do for children of all ages, with free shows and slow rides for the little ones and is all set in pretty gardens with many waterfalls.  It has a wide range of places to eat and drink, and you could easily spend the entire day there.  The entrance cost at the moment is 4,50 euros, with wrist bands at around 10 euros each which will permit you to go on most rides, and you can go as many times as you wish, or your stomach will allow!  Alternatively you can purchase tickets per ride from the many kiosks or machines around the park.

Selwo Adventure
This is a huge wildlife park set in the hills near Marbella, and is definately a full day out.  It is a long walk around so they provide trucks with regular stops all around the park which you can just jump on and off so you don't miss anything.  There is a lot to see and do including camel rides, a walk through a huge aviary filled with exotic and noisy birds and an adventure playground.  This is probably best with slightly older children to make the most of it all - there are wobbly rope bridges to cross and a real sense of adventure.  Sensible footwear is a must, and on hot days carry a bottle of water,  there are restaurants but with it being such a big park it may take you a while to reach the next one!

Open 10am till 6pm
